on Average, tinter’s makes around $250 to $500 a Day tinting one car a day ($70,000/ year)  to tinting $1000 a day tinting 2 to 4 cars a day  ($200,000 +/ year)

It all depends on how you want to keep this business, you can keep it small and just tint one car a day which is still $1500 a week for a couple of hours of work, or you can take it big and make $5000+ a week if you really want to.

  1. Hatchback – $250 and material cost is $20 so you make $230 profit or we call it labour cost.
  2. Sedan – $300 and material cost $30 you make $270 profit

Also, sometimes customers have old tint on the car, which we have to remove and that is an additional cost of $100 to remove the old film before the new installation.

Now, if you are a tint shop  your prices are going to be –  Hatchback, Sedan, Wagon, any car  – $395 (starting price) and material cost is $20 to $30 so you make $350 profit per car or we call it labour cost.

You don’t need any employees, you can work by yourself and still make 6 figures income.

An experienced tinter can tint 3-4 cars per day. Some days, depending on the cars, we can do six cars. When a person is starting out and just learning, they should set realistic expectations. To finish a car in a day is realistic, and probably if they did that every day for a month, by the end of the month they should be able to get up to two cars in a day.
