My Story
Now before we began our journey I want to make somethings very clear.
There are thousands of pie-in-the-sky schemes on the internet today, that will “guarantee” you that you’ll make something like $100,000 a week in 30 days,
Or you can earn “million dollars” by just working couple of hours a day at most.
Or sit back and watch the money come in your bank account all for few clicks here and there.
I don’t think so! Sorry to say, but it doesn’t work like this real life.
There are no step-by-step plans that will take you from poverty to riches in short order ESPECIALLY if they’re telling you that it is easy and hardly takes any work at all. Well They are lying!
So, if you are looking for:
- A blueprint that you can follow with little or no creative action on your part.
- A business that takes little to no effort – a business made for lazy people.
- A business that will make you rich overnight.

Hi my name is Alex Harry
It all started 12 years ago, up until then I was working as a full-time support worker in Christchurch, New Zealand.
One day as we were all at work and we heard that our CEO of the company had ran away and took all the money with him. Soon the goverment stepped in and took over the clients back in their care and they closed down the organisation and everyone was laid off, INCLUDING ME.
Now, I have worked really hard for the last 3.5 years and worked my way up to become a TEAM LEADER, and I was earning $17.65/hr which was very good considering minimum pay was only $14.25 at the time. So, I started to looking around for a new job and applied in few places. Soon, I had interviews and they were happy to give me job but starting at $14.65/hr going back to where I started 3.5 years ago. I was very angry, depressed and confused.
One day, my best friend who just had bought new car BMW 320i came to my house and told me that he just got his “car tinted”, now I was so stupid that, I didn’t even know what car tinting was, so he had to explain to me that its a film that goes on the car windows to protect you from the heat and gives you privacy, so it doesnt feel like everyone is looking at you while you drive. Plus it also makes your car look cool.
So, I asked him how much did he pay for tinting?, he told me he paid $600!
Now, as I mentioned earlier, I was earning $17.65/hr and after tax I was earning around $2400 a month.
and I just heard that a window tinter just made $600 a car, in my mind, “he just had to tint 4 cars to earn $2400 a month!” I believed nobody in the world made $600 a day and everyone is just like me who makes 17 to 18 dollars per hour.
As soon as I heard $600 for tinting just one CAR, my mind started doing calculations and I thought, what if I can tint cars? what if I learn how to tint cars? if I learn how to tint cars and even if I tint just one car a day that would bring me $600 A DAY! or tint just 10 cars in a month that would be $6000, that would mean I can enjoy rest of the days OFF and make even more money than my JOB!
I was like a blind man who got his vision and watching the world for the first time and I was shocked and excited at the same time. Whole new world had unfolded in front of me and I decided I was going to be a part of it.
So, I asked my friend, if I can get the address of the tint place, my friend said “mate, he won’t tint your car today, you have to book in and he has 3 months waiting time” hearing this I was even more excited to learn window tinting, this guy had customers waiting for him to tint their cars.
As remember all my life I had heard that when you start a business you have to do a lot of advertising and marketing and starting a business is risky and all that crap…
Paid $17,000 to Learn Window Tinting to a Bad Teacher…
Next day I visited the tint place and saw one guy tinting car in a workshop, So I went inside and asked his name, he said his name was John, he looked around 60 years old and asked me what car I have got and replied, “I am here to see if you would be interested in teaching me Window Tinting?” John simplly said “NO” as he was the only window tinter in Christchurch and we tinted everyone’s cars, and he didn’t wanted to have any competition in his business.
I went home upset, my dreams of earning money just disappered in matter of minutes after John said NO, anyway at night before going to bed, Once again I decided to see John and ask him again if he can teach me the art of window tinting.
Next day I went to John and asked him again if he can teach me window tiniting, at this point John got very angry and told me to “GO AWAY”.
I went back to John the 3rd day and asked him if he can teach me window tinting and offered him to pay him some money, So John decided to give me a price that will make me go away he said, “I’ll teach you for $25,000”, my heart stopped beating for a moment.
As I started driving back to my home thinking where will I find 25K I don’t even have 2k in my bank account, I went home and my mind was running and thoughts flying, in the evening I decided to pay John $25,000, because I knew if I just learnt this one thing then I will be able to make that money back in no time.
I started calling my friends around and told them, I need some money to buy a car and some friends gave me the money but it was only $17,000 I was still short of $8000 to pay John.
I went back to John, and told him that I have only $17,000 that I can pay him and asked him if he can teach me, John now payed attention to me in a serious manner, thinking this kid is seriour about learning, he took 5 minutes to think and then said YES. I paid John the money, I was very happy that day as my training was about to start the next day!
Next day, when I arrived at the shop, John was already working on a car, so I asked him what do you want me to do?, He simply said stand there in a corner and just watch, and DON’T ASK QUESTIONS.
So, I went in the corner of his workshop and watched him untill the end of the day tinting cars. This went on for a week, I would watch John tint the windows and I would go home and try it out on my nissan cefiro, but I was not able to get the result like John.
After spending 20 days at John’s workshop I asked him, “Hey John, I have been coming here every single day, and you haven’t taught me anything, you have also taken my money, I am currently not working as well so I need to start earning soon, John replied you are just annoying me, you can go home”.
Next day, I was getting angry at John as he was not teaching me as he promised me, so I asked him can you let me tint this car that John was working on. Finally John said ok fine, I’ll teach you but you need to pay very close attention to what I am doing because I WILL ONLY SHOW YOU ONCE.
John was a Brillian Window Tinter, the best I have every known, but was not a very good teacher. He showed me once as he had promised and in week’s time told me to stop coming to his workshop as the training was completed.
Finally Starting My Window Tinting Business!
I started practising on my and my friends cars, trying to remember everything John had told me, remeber this was time when there was no smart phones, no youtube, and no training schools for window tinting. no one was teaching at that time.
After tinting around 25 cars I started to gain confidence in my window tinting skills, So I Printed some flyers and started to hand deliver it around my neighbourhood, and soon I started to receive phone calls. at this stage I was not charging full price to customers, I told cusotmers that I am still learning and they can pay me whatever they think is right.
I found out that people are very supportive and good if you are honest with them, customers paid from $100 to $300 for my services, I didn’t had any fix price at this point as I though I am still not the expert tinter and was afraid to charge full price.
After tinting around 50 or 60 cars one of my friends said to me, “mate I think you are ready now, start charging full price for your services”.
This gave me confidence, and I Launched my Window Tint Business From Home, I still remember my first full paying customer, it was a Honda Odyssey, It took me whole day from morning 9am to 5pm in the evening, but I had made sure I give 100% to this customer, I cleaned the windows several times, I made sure the patterns where perfect, there was no dust or rinkles, it had to be 100% perfect just like how John tinted.
In the evening the customer came to pick up his car, he looked around and I was getting nervourse although I had tinted it perfect, but my mind kept racing as this was my first full paying customer. He looked at me and said this is GREAT!, he was very happy with the work and paid me $600.
I was sitting at the dinning table waiting for my wife to come home from work still holding $600 in my hands, when my wife came home, I told her what had happened today and then I started to cry, this wear tears of joy and victory.
I was making $2400 a month working full time for 40 hours a week, and today I made $600 in JUST ONE DAY!
Soon, I was tinting cars every day working 6 days a week, I was making more than $4000 a WEEK, I had been given a chance in life and I was not going to stop.
As I kept tinting every day I kept getting better and better at tintng, Soon I was tinting 2 cars a day, then 5 cars a day……
